Hi All,
Day after tomorrow (30th June) is my last > working day at GNEST group
(with Bruce Lehr)> as consultant/contractor from Infosys Technologies Ltd ,as my contract expires> on that day. It is very difficult to comprehend that 22 months have passed. With many good memories in my basket and and excellent work culture to remember, this stay shall be a very memorable one for a long time to come. During
these 22 months I have had the opportunity of working with you on diversified projects other than my base project (Mainframe SQP/MLRB project)
>
Mainframe Project: We have worked on 22 requests sofar , inclusive of Airline charge volume reporting, JCB merchants cards, Auth trans qlty etc..
Dot(.) Net trigger reporting project-This project was first dot net project in Infosys-Amex relationship and in spite of countless number of
process and technical issues/delays we were successful in completing the project from Infosys end by 10th July'04
Submission Audit Project: Worked on re-engineering of the DSS and transitioned to a logical end
Server consolidation: This project is the backbone for my career. I havereally learned a lot in this project as there were countless number
of complications/issues and thought this is a never ending project This project made me memorize 40-50
server names and applications hosted on them, and doing lot of admin activities and co-ordination of various efforts yet not missing a single meeting Siebel projects: Worked as single point of contact for Infosys offshore based Siebel support/billing/invoicing etc...
DM/TCM Initatives :Assisted Keith in identifying the various servers need to be migrated/decommissioned
I cannot forget a lot of things including Bruce Lehr's and Paul R Sutton's Leadership and maturity, Pete's dynamism and David Dumin's unlimited support and initiative on various projects,Nuchio's helping nature (I remember the discussions we had about 100,000 issues on various projects and personal issues), Discussion with Tim sommerville on cultures and 'how materialistic things are ruining our lives', William Merrill's Smiley and gentle face, Sharon's Dedication and her thorough knowledge in Applications and powerful technical front. David Duty's ever charming face and his efforts to put the server consolidation team on track,Prachi/Jean for their ever-intelligent
part in Server consolidation, John montiel for his technical support. Working with Keith on DM/TCM initiatives and discovering new/old/unused servers, six sigma initiative with Sherree Newhouse,JD's 'never die' spirit, Doni's witty remarks during the weekly eeting, Paul amador's support on servers build. Break room discussions with Murali and Karthik are really memorable and were always relaxing.Sanjay's soft and friendly behavior, Tejas's dynamism and 'mix with anybody ' attitude. Ursula and Gary's lightening response in lot of Data warehouse tables' issues is really appreciated,Madhu Sandhyapogu for unending 'WATT' support :)
So many people have joined me and left me in these 22 months at onsite/offshore because of different assignments, but Renjith Yohanna,my offshore contact was always with me in these 22 months and I really never forget his support in all the tasks assigned to him. I also appreciate the effort of Prakash who joined a year back in my project
and supported the project till closure along with Renjith. These 22 months have been great in my official and personal life. I was given challenging tasks to execute at office and at personal life I was blessed with a baby girl last December. The work culture here
suited me very well. I was happy to work with bosses/superiors who are 'down to earth', 'gentle' and strong believers of 'give respect and take respect' .They provided me
sufficient freedom to execute my tasks (As we all know A boss is like your ' father' who is always your well wisher, respects you and guides you)
I also thank all the people who gave me support throughout, which made me feel Important.
I am planning a vacation to India .I am starting here on this Sunday (4th July) and planning to come back in First week of August for a different assignment. World is small and of course life itself is small, I strongly believe that 'a day is not wasted if a memory is made'. Hopefully we Meet again somewhere There is no doubt that this is one great team, which I am proud to have been a part of.
I wish you all the best and a very happy life ahead.
