Hi All,
Tomorrow (7th August) is my last working day at ConAgra Foods (Trade
group) as consultant for MGS System. It is very difficult to comprehend that 22
months have passed. With many good memories in my basket and an excellent work
culture to remember, this stay shall be a very memorable one for a long time to
come. During these 22 months I have had the opportunity of working with you on
diversified projects other than our base project (MGS Maintenance and de
commissioning); the FI system (The bug fixes), Rate server commissioning, MQ
series (Mainframe side), Visgen replacement to mention a few.
I cannot forget a lot of things including Jim Schulte's and Jane Pierce's
maturity, Lisa's dynamism and her 'rough cut' band, Bawn's dedication and
sincerity, Lee Fraley's text book style of working on Rate server and our
sharing and appreciating each other's photography, Chad for his
"ever-intelligent" comments, Jothi for his economic issues awareness and his
HDTV fiasco, Trupti's ultimate movie chats during lunch, Rajan's "never say die"
spirit, Mangesh's smiling face, Indranil's deep knowledge on electronics, John
Schreck's company during our lunch sessions, Jason Conway's gentle and pleasant
conduct, Bill Vala's and Jim Schultze's ideal mixture of both technical and
personal skills, Todd's and Tracy's soft spoken ness, Clarance's analytical
ability for solving problems, lunch with Cathy and Jane Stevenart during Raghu's
farewell and their mainframe expertise, Lori's innocent face after we
confused(unknowingly) her in one of Bernie's meetings during the first phase of
MGS Decommissioning, Dave's affableness, Arlena's "answer for all" attitude,
which made the decommissioning easier, Paul's continuous support and his
discussions on Australian and Indian cricket, Sriram, Thotha and Ramprasad for
their help during my tenure, CTG Help desk people for their continuous support
and many more whom my memory fails at the moment. I will also remember the MGS
Users for their requests and unstinted support, which made me feel important.
There is no doubt that this is one great team, which I am proud to have been
a part of. I wish you all the best and a very happy life ahead.
We shall always appreciate Bernie's excellent managerial skills, which gave
us sufficient freedom to execute our tasks and finally to reach our destination
(MGS decommissioning). Once again my special thanks to him for everything he has
done for us.
My wife and kid reached India safely and that I will be joining them this
Saturday (am too excited!!!).

Subject: Lunch for Rao
Srinivas Rao will be returning home to India next week after 22 months of
on-shore service to ConAgra. Rao's technical skills, professionalism, and
dedication have played a key role in the ongoing support and ultimate
decommissioning of the MGS system. I'd like to have lunch for Rao this Friday
at the Spaghetti Works. Please let me know by Thursday if you plan to attend.
